On the participation of the Embassy of Belarus in Estonia in the events dedicated to the Year of Historical Memory

On December 3, in the Year of Historical Memory declared in the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian society “Ljos” (Tallinn) held a musical and poetic evening, dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of outstanding classic writers, natives of the Belarusian land Yakub Kolas and Yanka Kupala.

The event was attended by Charge d'Affaires of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Estonia Aleksei Zubko, employees of the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Estonia, as well as representatives of the Belarusian diaspora in the country.

The participants read poems of poets and sang Belarusian songs.

Members of the Belarusian society " Ljos " have been awarded with honorary certificates for their longstanding fruitful work in the preservation and promotion of the Belarusian culture in Estonia.

The event dedicated to Yakub Kolas and Yanka Kupala was aimed at preserving the memory of famous Belarusian compatriots.
