On the participation of the Ambassador of Belarus to Estonia V. Kachanov in the international online conference “Our Chagall”

The Narva Belarusian Society “Syabry” (Narva, Estonia) in 2022 is holding a series of events dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the birth of one of the most prominent natives of the Belarusian land and a famous representative of the artistic avant-garde Marc Chagall.

Оn May 28, 2022, the Narva Belarusian society “Syabry” held an international online conference “Our Chagall” (organizer — Tatyana Makarenko).

The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Estonia Vyacheslav Kachanov, diplomats of the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Estonia, as well as compatriots from Estonia, Belarus, Israel, Jordan, Latvia and Russia.

Director of the Marc Chagall Museum in Vitebsk (Belarus) Irina Voronova, head of the Chagall in Malakhovka project (Russia) Anna Yudashkina, guide of the Narva Museum (Estonia) Elena Hovart, Marc Chagall's niece, artist and poet Irina Markova-Chagall (Israel) spoke at the conference.

The online meeting, which was wide in geographical coverage of the participants, made a significant contribution to the popularization of Belarusian culture abroad.

The Narva Belarusian Society “Syabry” will continue the series of events dedicated to Marc Chagall until October 2022.
