On the participation of the Embassy in a creative meeting dedicated to the International Mother Language Day
22.02.2021February 21 the Embassy took part in a creative online meeting, dedicated to the International Mother Language Day and organized by activists of the Narva Belarusian society Syabry.
The event was attended by Belarusian societies from Estonia (Jyhvi, Tartu, Pärnu), Latvia (Daugavpils, Riga), Russia (Moscow, Surgut), Ukraine (Chernigov), Spain (Madrid) and Jordan (Amman).
The creations of the Belarusian songwriter Konstantin Tsybulsky were performed at the meeting. Songs based on his poems are performed by such famous Belarusian groups as Pesnyary, Syabry, Byaseda, Plisa and others.
It should also be noted that at the initiative of Tatiana Makarenko, member of the board of the Narva Belarusian society Syabry, a pupil of the eleventh grade of the language lyceum Darina Dmitrieva took part in the event. She made a literary translation of one of the poems of K.Tsybulsky into Estonian language.
The online meeting made a significant contribution to the popularization of Belarusian culture and language abroad.
